10/2/2011 - California Air National Guard Base Fresno -- Air National Guard members invited their family to attend the annual Family Day events at the 144th Fighter Wing, California Air National Guard, in Fresno on Oct. 2.

The events this year included a volleyball tournament between squadrons, static displays of Air Force and Army equipment, a car show filling the aircraft hanger on base, plus booths, food and fun for all to enjoy.

"Our family had fun," said Master Sgt. Christopher Arend, 144th Fighter Wing. "We loved the exhibits. The kids really enjoyed actually being able to touch some of the equipment. I enjoyed playing horseshoes."

The fighter wing provided a family environment where the servicemembers and their family could enjoy the afternoon together.

"I just love having the family out where everyone can enjoy themselves and be a part of our own military family," Sergeant Arend said.
