144th Fighter Wing would like to announce our newest Volunteer Victim Advocates. They each completed the Virtual Victim Advocate Course Sept. 14-18, 2020.

Victim Advocates are military personnel and DoD civilian employees who have completed a 40-hour training course that is taught by a Wing SARC.

Victim Advocates are available 24/7 on a rotational schedule. Advocates have been trained to provide crisis intervention, referral and ongoing nonclinical support. They can also provide information on available options and resources so that the individual who experienced sexual assault can make informed decisions. With permission, Victim Advocates may also accompany the victim to medical appointments, investigative meetings, legal proceedings, and court hearings.
