Welcome to the 144th Fighter Wing Maintenance Group (MXG), the largest group on Fresno Air National Guard Base. The Maintenance Group's manning comprises over one third of the wing's population. MXG maintains 21 F-15C Eagles and is comprised of the Maintenance Squadron (MXS) which conducts all off-equipment aircraft maintenance (back shop), the Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (AMS) provides on-equipment maintenance (flight line), the Maintenance Operations Flight (MOF) and the Maintenance Group functional area which carries out support functions for the three squadrons and the group.
The 144th Maintenance Group's primary mission is to provide combat aircraft to our nation and state by motivating, organizing, training, and equipping a force capable of conducting effective and sustained operations in support of national, state and community objectives.
Functions within the MXS are: Engine Shop, Aircraft Structural/Corrosion Shop, Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI), Hydraulic/Pneudraulic Shop, Wheel and Tires Shop, Inspection Section (Phase), Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE), Egress, Fuel Shop, Electro/Environmental Shop, Machine Shop, AIS and Munitions Storage Area (MSA).
Functions within the AMS are: Flight Line Crew Chief (aircraft mechanics), Flight Line Avionics, Tool Room, Alert and Weapons shop.
Functions within the MOF are: Maintenance Operation Center (MOC), Plans and Scheduling and Maintenance Analysis.
MXG support functions are: Quality Assurance (QA) and the MXG Orderly room.
