Maintenance Group

The Maintenance Group's (MXG) manning comprises over one third of the 144th Fighter Wing's force. The MXG maintains 21 F-15C aircraft and is comprised of the Maintenance Squadron (MXS), which conducts all back shop aircraft/equipment maintenance, the Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (AMXS), which provides aircraft flightline maintenance, the Maintenance Operations Flight (MOF), which schedules and monitors all maintenance operations, and the Maintenance Group functional area, which carries out support functions for the entire Maintenance Group.

The 144th Maintenance Group's primary mission is to provide combat ready aircraft by organizing, training, and equipping a force capable of conducting effective and sustained operations in support of our nation and state.

Functions within the MXS are: The Engine Shop, Aircraft Structural/Corrosion Shop, Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI), Hydraulic/Pneudraulic Shop, Wheel and Tires Shop, Inspection Section (Phase), Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE), Egress, Fuel Shop, Electro/Environmental Shop, Machine Shop, Avionics Intermediate Shop (AIS) and Munitions Storage Area (MSA).

Functions within the AMXS are: The Flight Line Crew Chiefs (aircraft mechanics), Flight Line Avionics, Tool Room, Alert, and Weapons shop.

Functions within the MOF are: The Maintenance Operation Center (MOC), Plans and Scheduling, Engine Management, Training, Budget/Manpower, and Maintenance Analysis.

MXG functional areas are: Quality Assurance (QA) and the Command Support Staff.
